Pump oil
Since different vacuum pumps are suitable for different applications, vacuum pump oils are tailored for different pump operations. Appropriate vapour pressure, viscosity, heat or chemical resistance and other factors distinguish which pump oils deliver outstanding performance. The selection of the main Agilent vacuum pump oils for different Agilent pump models ensures that the pumps are able to fully realise their operational performance specifications.

Scroll dry pumps
Vortex pumps generate vacuum through a simple double vortex disc type structure, where one nested vortex disc rotates around the other, creating a space that traps the movement of gases. Gas enters the scroll pump from the periphery and is diverted and compressed to the centre, where it is discharged. The fast and predictable maintenance process significantly reduces service downtime and lowers maintenance costs. Vortex pumps are an ideal alternative to rotary vane pumps where an oil-free pump is required. Agilent IDP sealed scroll dry pumps have fully segregated bearings to provide a quiet, clean, oil-free vacuum. They are ideally suited for analytical instrumentation, cryogenic applications, helium recirculation, freeze-drying and cannabis extraction, and can also be used as a pre-pump for turbomolecular pumps. Agilent TriScroll pumps are reliable and durable vortex pumps that provide high pumping speeds and ultimate vacuum with optional inverters or three-phase motors.TriScroll pumps can be used for leak detection, manufacturing processes, and other industrial applications.

Oil-sealed rotary vane pumps
Single and two-stage rotary vane pumps are available in a wide range of pumping speeds and configurations. These pumps are ideal as a precursor to turbomolecular or diffusion pumps, or for stand-alone use in laboratory, analytical, or industrial applications. The DS series oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pump models are available with pumping speeds of 45 - 605 L/min (1.6 - 21.4 cfm) and ultimate pressures of < 2 x 10E-03 mbar. the DS series pumps operate at low noise levels. The MS series of high capacity, single-stage, oil lubricated rotary vane pumps is an ideal alternative to larger industrial pumps with similar pumping speeds, and offers the benefits of compactness and green credentials. The flexible MS series pumps feature stable and reliable components, high pumping speeds at low pressures, low noise levels and easy installation.
